Allison Harvey

I'm a mom to four growing-up-before-my-eyes children.  I'm a singer, an artist, an actress, an author, a cradle Episcopalian, and a terribly uncoordinated but energetic dancer.  

 

I was born into a family of storytellers.  I write because I have to write.  I tell stories because I have to tell stories.  I sing because I have to sing.  

 

Sometimes my oldest daughter tells me, "Mama, don't let the song take control of you."  "Sweetie," I say back, "sometimes, you just have to."
